Philosophy and TCM

Let me back to my back ground, the TCM.
The philosophy of the TCM has 5 elements on behalf of the 5 organ.
Mu - wood =liver
Huo -fire = hart
Tu - soil(earth ) = spleen
Jin - gold = Lung
Shui - water = Kidney

The meddle part -  spleen are corresponds to the earth ,which mean the spleen as like the earth to giving  birth to the people .but if use the west medical way to thinking will be strange.I need to say - Don't think too much ,here the organ not just organ ,sometime we say that belong the QI.

PITUPAI is we called the professional division as like Gastrointestinal in division of the western medical.they emphasis on physical conditioning by this way - balance the qi of the earth in the body.In that way to make diagnosis may check the tongue, cause it can show out  many massage from the body. But it does not mean that tongue is not clean, the opposite is same as the ancient YOGI need to clean it after checking these phenomena .

Will do so on the grounds based on the experience of life has been connected  each organs of the Qi are not the same as the direction and function which is ancient people discovered.

A lot of Chinese medicine treatment are based on the grounds of the balance of these elements and organ.
For example,We would not  recommend to eat too full when get a cold, it so as not to impede the organ's original function  then make each other lost links to lead to balance disorders.
To keep the digestion of space thought to keeping the Qi's flow had smooth function , Is equivalent to retain the ability to healing.

In other words is most people think when they are sick In actual fact to eat a lot of physical strength to maintain resistance to disease is not true.
If because to lose the link in organs of the Qi is cause fullness  (TCM say the injury by food) Instead, easier to out of balance in the healthy seesaw.

Back to the five elements to look at the following concept:
  • Had a key a feature of our body in each of the 5 organ.
  • In each of the organ which representatives of five kinds of tissue.
  • Have organs that correspond to each other, also known as internal and external relations.
  • Correspondence between the injury in a variety of emotions over.

Balance between generation and restriction is important for normal transformation of the five elements. Each element is under the influence of the other four in some way. Wood generates fire and water generates wood. On the other hand, wood inhibits earth, but itself is inhibited by metal. In this way, all five elements establish an intricate homeostasis in nature. This wisdom has also been applied to TCM by incorporating the theory of the five elements into health maintenance strategies, which have been successful for thousands of years.

For example,

  • Wood: liver and gall each other viscera exterior, but also in the caseof bones and limbs, excessive or too weak, more appropriate to therisk of liver, gall bladder, head, neck, limbs, joints, tendons, eyes, nerves and other aspects of the disease.
  • Fire:Heart and small intestine each other viscera exterior, but also in the case of blood and the entire circulatory system. Too strong or too weak, and represents to be easy to get some diseases on the disease of the small intestine, heart, shoulder, blood, blood, face, teeth, abdomen, tongue.
  • Earth: Each other viscera exterior spleen and stomach, but also in the case of the intestine and the entire digestive system. Too strong or too weak, represents to be easy to get some diseases on diseases of the spleen, stomach, ribs, back, chest, lungs, stomach and other aspects.
  • Gold: lung and colon each other viscera exterior, but also in the case of the trachea and the respiratory system., Excessive or too weak, susceptible to colon, lung, umbilicus, sputum, liver, skin, hemorrhoids, nose, trachea and other aspects of the disease.
  • Water:Kidney and bladder each other viscera exterior, but also in the case of the brain and the urinary system. Too strong or too weak, are more prone to kidney, bladder, shin, foot, head, liver, urinary tract, genitals, waist, ears, uterus, hernia, etc. the disease.
